Might be being a bit previous but just a reminder that we should all be contacting this organisation http://www.epa.gov/otaq/imports/index.htm to get a letter giving us the OK to temporarily import our bikes? Chris said to do this 4 months in advance - which it nearly is.
Chris, any chance of posting up the letter you use - as a template?
Thanks.

Looks like page 33 section 2.2.5 Temporary Vehicle Imports for non residents
File form EPA 3520-1 declaring code 'O' and attach EPA letter of exemption
(go by the page numbers on the document and not the numbers in pdf reader by the way)

This link from the EPA site http://www.epa.gov/otaq/imports/forms/3520-1.pdf appears to be a dead one for the form but I think this is what is required. Got it from another ste

Chris can you confirm this info.

Was assuming Chris would complete form EPA Form 3520-1 (Rev. 11-01): But that the individuals who are going on the trips would need to write to the EPA to get a letter back saying they could bring their bikes in temporarily.
It was a template of this letter to the EPA that I was hoping Chris would post up - he showed us one at Manchester just after Xmas, but I've forgotten what it said now?

I'll get it sorted and out to everyone this week. I've been a bit waylaid this last couple of weeks with accountants, tax returns and HMRC:eek:

Very impressed with the Americans. Have had my "nonresident exemption memorandum" and my "nonresident exemption letter". What next?
