A Perfect Day ...
The day started with a very pleasant trip with my young fella to catch a couple of this year's photo points. First up was Carlow Kilkenny

followed by Waterford
<a href="http://s833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/?action=view¤t=DSCF2039.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/DSCF2039.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
then a very nice late lunch at the Mullichain Cafe in St Mullins for a photo for the Phoker Rally
<a href="http://s833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/?action=view¤t=DSCF2043.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/DSCF2043.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Then came the icing on the cake - we paid a visit to neighbour Harry Lindsay to have a last look at his bike collection before it heads to the UK for auction at Bonhams later this month. Harry was in great form (at 86 yrs) if a little nostalgic at the prospect of saying goodbye to machines that have been part of his life for many many years. After viewing the bikes he entertained us with yarns and stories around a gorgeous log fire. Even had coffee and yummy apple tart!
An old rogue and a young rogue (on a Manx Norton)

A 1903 Celtic Motorcycle (one of about 50 or 60) manufactured by Harry's grandfather in Dublin - and not going to the auction
<a href="http://s833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/?action=view¤t=DSC_0177.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/DSC_0177.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
my favourite, because of the story behind it, a 1928 Dunelt (although the one I'd love to take away would be one of the Norton trials bikes)
<a href="http://s833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/?action=view¤t=DSC_0181.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz255/FeargalONeill/At%20Harry%20Lindsats/DSC_0181.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
All in all, a really magical day.
Apologies for the slight hijack of the Photo Rally thread.
