Followed the link and liked the image. I'm now wondering if we met at the BMW offroad course? One of your group had come off badly and gone to hospital. I was there with my wife, Sandy. I think we had the evening meal together???

Must be more expensive from your side (probably cos we're all broke & nobody could afford to fly if it was any more expensive !) because my flight to LA & back was €600. Or about 800 of your dollars.
Given how far away it is & how much craic we'll have when we get there I think it's brilliant value
Running right at $1,400 now. Not that much more expensive but quite a bit more than last summer's trip to the UK.... paid about $900 in 2011.Taxes on the flight are $650 - costs that much before the plane leaves the ground! In addition, the dollar isn't all that strong.
When I start totaling it up with air fare, bike hire, hotels, etc ...it gets up there. Just can't justify an annual trip there at this time.
