External optical reader/writer to use with a Mac air?

Does anyone have any personal recommendations as according to the forums the mac drive is not all it is cracked up to be unless you know better. Does anyone use these drives?

I have the mac drive and it's fine, can't remember what I paid but it was quite cheap. The only thing I noticed with it was the usb cable coming out the back of the drive is a bit flimsy but I keep that in mind when I'm using it without any problems (1 year old now)

I have the mac drive to use with my air and i haven't had any problems.

Just be careful if you buy a different brand usb drive as some of them need 2 usb outputs and the cable won't split and reach around to use both of the airs usb outlets
