Given that there's clearly more than a few Harley afficionados on this forum, was wondering if I could get some pointers, please.

Have had my Stage 1 (i.e. V&H Fuelpak unit, air filter unit etc) and the Rush pipes taken off my 2008 Street Bob and put back to "factory standard".

Looking to sell the "Stage 1" package plus the Rush slash-cut pipes to someone who'd be in the market for them as a package or individually. Everything is in perfect order, including the pipes. Had them removed by a Harley Davidson dealership professionally, and boxed up, so no cut corners, etc.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to what would be a reasonable asking price for (a) the whole package, or (b) the Stage 1 and pipes sold separately.

Would genuinely appreciate your honest opinions (the usual jesting aside :) )

Thanks !

(ps: Rush pipes are about 1 year old and pristine).

Which corners do you have to remove if you take them off yourself. Does the harley dealer have a machine which leaves the corners intact?

Den

They take them off ever so carefully with a fine pair of scissors, and then pop them in a nice box. :bounce1

You'll find the bike is worth a lot more with them than without them. The big advantage to buying second hand recent model HDs is that someone else has paid the VAT and done the stage 1.

I bought a pair of second hand V&H pipes for the glide in immaculate condition for a couple of hundred quid. They aren't worth much second hand :nenau

Thanks Mutley.

I'm keeping the bike; no intention of selling it.

Elected to go back to standard as although the Bob sounded good, my own personal issues with hearing loss/tinnitus were a problem. Even with good quality earplugs. The ENT specialist would rather I didn't ride bikes at all, but after 42 years on motorcycles, giving up riding now would be like giving up full stop.
