Hi there,
Which engine protection bars do you guys favour for the F650GS single?
Can you please upload pictures of your bars so I can see what they look like on the bike
Many thanks
Laura

My lady has these on her 650:beerjug:

I did have the BMW ones which did the job admirably when they connected with a large rock. They're not pretty now and off the bike. The downside was that the impact not only destroyed them but also bent all of the subframe mounts as the bars caught and wrapped around the rock.

I'm now using the OEM bash plate and SW Motech upper bars which attach to the frame. The bash plate will be replaced with a more sturdy one at some point. Against rocks a bash plate will skid over rather than catch - I hope...

No pics but it's got to be dragged out of the shed later so will take a couple. :thumb2

BMW crash bars. Apart from the visible damage they're so bent out of shape they'll never go back on....

Besides looking better from everything I've heard the upper bars and bash plate seem to be the best option and more beneficial should anything happen
