I polished a turd and it came up yellow

a bit like this you mean

That's what I'm getting at! :beerjug:

Well today I came out of hospital after having my thumb reconstructed.

hurts like hell but it won't put me off biking. At least I have a thumb to put back together. I see guys riding around without gloves and I find it staggering. I can understand it in hot weather but at this time of year aside from the increased skid risk it's bloody chilly.

In a way it's a blessing for this thread that I had my mishap because it's back to the drawing board. I might do something like this on the bike:

Yes. Get well soon and get posting more of the ongoing work. :thumb2

Thanks guys. It's slightly ironic that I badly damaged all the stuff I bought this summer. Only days before I was imagining a stripped down version. Be careful what you wish for :D

As a bit of a retrospective I forgot to mention previously that I changed the handlebars.

I bought Fehling F650 Dakar replicas from Motorworks. You can just about get away with not changing the stock cables.

The bars were the right diameter but because of the paint they were a bit snug. Instead of taking the paint off the bars I pared down the inside of the controls. The left control bracket was a bit stiff and I ended up snapping a portion of the alu off :blast. It means it is a bit loose now.

I really like the riding position of these bars. Visually I like the look of them also as an added benefit.

is that a right side foot peg bracket / assembly that you need

I have a hideous blue one (I think) lurking in me man cave if you want it ??

That's very kind of you DrFarkoff. I'll have a look at mine to make sure it's the whole bracket. I think it's one piece that holds the passenger and rider pegs. It's a different shape and length on the K75's. I think the K100 brackets are longer.

send me an email to jonathanfox1972@gmail.com and let me know how much you want for it and p&p. We can swap photos to make sure it's the same bit :beerjug:

Well the days are getting colder and the bike still needs some work but at least my K wires are gone now. :thumb
