    Trans America Trail 2013

I'll be running the TAT again in 2013 but this time, it will be the second half which runs from Colorado across to the Pacific Coast just below Portland Oregon. This half of the TAT is a little more technical that the 1st half and runs through Colorado, Moab, Utah, Nevada and into Oregon. It will give you some of the best dirt riding anywhere and is a great test of man and machine.

We use motels all the way across and the bikes will be shipped in a secure container into Albuquerque NM and back out of Portland Oregon.

The trip is just about 3 weeks long and will leave ABQ on 11th August and get into Portland on 30th August 2013.

The trip will basically consist of 4 or 5 days riding some of the fantastic high passes in Colorado which we did in 2011, before heading West on a mixture of dirt, gravel and sand. The route is complicated and you need specialist mapping which I will supply. There isn't and GPS mapping available for this as far as I'm aware but part of the fun of this trip is following route map.

You will need a properly prepared dirt bike and I would advise something between 400cc and 650cc. Anything smaller and you will struggle to keep up and anything bigger, you will struggle in the sand!!

As I've committed to running the 2 Alaska trips, I don't have the time to lead this trip so as an added bonus, Skygod will lead it and Murdoch will be his wing man. Guarenteed laughs and a memorable trip will be the order of the day. I'll do all the organisation and shipping though so you know your bike will get there and back!!

So, let me know if you are interested and I'll e-mail you all the details.
