Sorry, I find that photo somewhat offensive to people and Guzzis!

I'm very disappointed in you Andres.

I had higher expectations from you.

Eh?

Are you being serious??

It was part of an exhibition I went to see yesterday on French counterculture and HA from the 80’s.

Personally I thought it was a brilliant image.

Come on then Arsey, tell us what's wrong with it ? I'm seriously considering going for a look, only drawback is, I'd need to chop the Stelvio in and I know I'd regret it.

I know fuck all about them but really like the look of it , that’s all . My garage is full , at least until I sell the 1290.

I like Guzzi’s. I have owned several over the years. Best was a green V11. Best engine was the Centauro with a slightly detuned Daytona 4 valve head engine.

Dullest Guzzi was a white 11OO Cali I purchased several years ago from this site. It looked great. Bit like the 850 above.
But it was so boring to ride. Sold it within a few weeks.

I would imagine with 250 less cc’s it would just be so dull you may just fall asleep while riding.
Does look nice though.

Pretty much all there Arsey but not as nice as the one I sold Johnno on here. Oh and nowhere near as nice as the old shitter I'm running at the moment ;)

The only thing that doesn't look right are the panniers if that's important :nenau Oh and the seat isn't original. Not a bad copy but not quite right.......

Oh, and it really should have slash cut Lanfraconis (as per the old shitter below), the ones on that bike look after market I think?

They look totally different  One looks lovely. One, well doesn't.

Totally different vibe and chugging around at 50/60 can be (and is) fabulous. I've just been chugging around Biarritz on my old shitter and there isn't a bike I'd rather have been on. It ain't all about bling and the latest must have.....................

Thanks Hippy,
I thought you’d have some good info.
Always fancied something like this and would be good for pottering around the island and also when I get place in Brittany.
But I’m meant to be selling 1290 in a few weeks after my Spanish trip and not replacing it with anything else as 5 bikes is a squeeze in my garage .

I think it'd be perfect :)

The great thing about these age Guzzis is that they are fundamentally solid and reliable. A 'classic' bike that can be used as an 'every day' bike. They handle and stop well and are more than capable of holding their own in modern traffic. If it's a itch that needs scratching then JFDI, if it doesn't work out then you'll not sell a bike like that for less than you paid for it :beerjug:

I saw that T3 on t'internet and thought it was gorgeous. After a small amount of research it looks fairly correct other than later panniers (think there was a change in 1979 along with cast wheels). The only thing that I wasnt so sure about was the over-bore, who did it , and are they a Guzzi specialist ? Is this a standard thing to do to a T3 ? How does it affect the character/value of the bike ?

Other than that niggle (due to lack of knowledge) I'd love to potter about on that.

RBW.
