Hi folks
I am finding it quite difficult to get neutral while the motor is running,
it drops into N easily when the engine is stopped.
It will go into N if its put into 2ND and kinda jabbed down sharply, but not to far
anyone know what might easily cure this
Clutch is adjusted up ok
oil is fresh
Thanks

Make sure clutch is adjusted 100%

Sounds like clutch drag, does the bike 'creep' at slow speeds?

New Clutch plates and springs needed perhaps

Other than that the gear shaft may be bent and pushing on the seal, however it sounds more like clutch drag

May sound daft but
As Johnny said double check yer clutch clearance and if yerve just changed yer oil make sure you used Bike Oil :blast DAMHIKT
Good luck
Great bikes :thumb2

Make sure your clutch basket is not ridged, as this will cause the plates to stay together even when the clutch leaver is pulled whilst engine is running.

Billet baskets are available for this model bike, or just a dressing with a file will get you back on the road without anywhere near the expense of a new basket.

The only thing which i have done which is different is the oil.
I have always run this bike on halfords part synthetic
But this change was with halfords full synthetic, might this have something to do with it?

Thanks folks i will have a bit fettle with it n see where it goes :thumb2

Give a little blip of the throttle as you go for neutral:thumb

Out playing today confirmed that and a oil change has pretty much sorted it :thumb

Mines the same, fine when it's cold and fine when you stop the engine and sometimes snicks into neutral no problem............I can live with it but now I know the cure!:thumb

Had the same problem with my daughters kawasaki twin over the last few weeks. Cured it yesterday. The kawasaki box has a neutral location spring on the selector mechanism, it had gone week. Does your bike have one of these?
