A local {ish } guy has a 1984 Cali 1000 carbed , look like kehins ?
it has been sitting in a Garage for ""Years " .
The Guy that owns the garage has now called "Time".
He says he needs the Space..
The Cali is not my style of machine , so i value it , only as a Guzzi .
Would any of you Gents in the "Guzzi Know """ throw me an idea
of Value for this guy.

Best described as " Wanting " it has obviously sat in the Corner for a
long time.
There is a couple of bullet holes , one in the Tank and one in the Top Box !..
Interesting history . Turns but no Cigar ? , Could be anything from Coils to
leads , ?.. A wee pointer would be nice ? Please.

Would be nice to see some pics.
This could be a great base for a nice cafe racer project, in which case cosmetics are not so much of an issue.
The way old Guzzi prices are going I would be surprised if it didn`t make a grand.
 
Pics essential.
The knowledgeable could then tell you how far from standard it is and so; how fucked-about-with it is, and so, some idea of how viable it is to put back on the road. :thumb2
Sold in parts - dog only knows what you'd get.

possibly a lot of scrap metal getting in your way. :D
 
A Guzzi you don't want that doesn't go? And has been shot. I'd walk away, unless you have a lot of time and storage space on your hands. Was it shot in the line of duty, or for breaking down once too often?
 
Remarkable condition.

I have to say , i am seriously impressed with the quality of the finish on this
84 Guzzi Cali2 . The Framework cleans into a nice clean non pitted finish.
The engine casings are Gray , but will clean the Chrome work is wanting ,
the paint work is very good . Overall very impressive and miles better than
the similar year BMW i have.
For good measure i couldnt get a spark , on one cyl , traced but cant figure why its wired the way it is , i think someone was having a footter about .
Any way she has fired and sounds surprising quite and not a rattle to be heard.. Compression is about = on Both cyls . VEry impressed with her.
On a Short spin , its very comfortable , but the gear chnge is a toe & heel
sorta operation which is a bit funny ,but it works.
Dual link brakes , no comment cos i didnt get that far..


So , what do you think , Do i go for the Cafe racer Look which was my initial intention , or Keep er standard.
What about the Lectrics ? keep her std Points & Coil or go Electronic ?

Whats your thoughts on this one
