sons trip to budapest

Hi folks
could anyone recommend any good hostel accommodation or cheap hotel for two students in budapest city centre. Going mid July so if you have any tips or info this would be appreciated.

For students, I'd recommend the "Dominik Panzió".

I stayed there a couple of times and it was quite ok for it's price, even if I was far from student at the time. I remember it as very cheap but reasonably comfy. Click and check.

Accommodation

The 'metro' is so good he can find something just a few stops (minutes) from Deak Ter which is a major transport hub in Pest and it will be 1/2 the price of the central city.

He might even mix with the locals. Really it is cheap enough on exchange rates not to go too far downmarket or he'll have regrets.

Slumming it in Budapest is not a great memory.
