I`ve spent several nights with the owner of Motopodd.


In seperate tents,I hasten to add.


He`s a good friend of mine.

Their sidecars are different , modern looking , are they as well made as they look ?

Just don't mention suspension!

He didn't do himself any favours did he

We're still learning, the more we do, the more we learn......we have a friend called George (which is irrelevant) who has been racing off-road outfiots for 30+ years...he came along to the shed and prodded and poked at the outfit we built, as well as doing a bit of welding.......He didn't like the setup we ended up with initially (using the Fiesta components) but when we assembled it and tried it, it was damn good.....we tweaked it and adjusted it ....had to cut off a section and weld a bit of an extension to the suspension tower as we called it, to get an angle more efficient, but that's what it's all about......trial and error, going out and using it in real life, jumping up and down on it across the fields to watch the movement etc.
George ended up really impressed by the way ours rides
The next one we build will be based on the same (rough) design, but improved.

Even off-the shelf-kits can act oddly and not work correctly depending on person riding, weights, a few degrees of angle out etc.....Half the fun of building the one we did first was in the setup, adjustment and head scratching to think of ways of getting angles and mounts as close to what we wanted
