Though I live in York, we used to have days out on the bikes in Leeds visiting the many bike shops. I do seem to remember the Red Brick Cafe on Dewsbury Road

Cheers...fascinating...I regularly visited Leeds during this time. Good to remember this kind of thing when people harp on about "the good old days". I wonder whether objections to Freak Shows were dismissed as "political correctness, gone mad" at the time :)

Thanks Ebbo - great pictures that bring back many memories.

Memories....Use to run the M62 corridor delivering Fish. Spent a fair bit o time round Leeds to...was introduced to the Red brick by a fellow driver...:D

Thanks for that :thumb

When I was a lad.....

I was brought up near Robinsons' Famous Fisheries so I know it well.

The Leeds market also nearly did not survive due to a bad fire one Christmas.

You can take the lad out of Leeds, but not the Leeds out of the lad:D

thanks, only been in leeds 20 yrs so it's nice to look back...
any one care to admit to stepping in?
