This may be of interest to some of you DRZ owners, especially if you're thinking of using your bike for longer trips. Just had an email back from Peter Edwards at www.screensforbikes.com in Oz with info about DRZ screens.

"I’ve attached a couple pictures just to show you the different shades of light and dark tint, and also to show you the range of colours available, you can check out more photos on my web site. http://www.screensforbikes.com <http://www.screensforbikes.com/>
The screen comes with all mounting hardware and takes 15 to 20 minutes to fit. This screen can be mounted at various heights, to determine the best height before drilling any holes simply gaffer tape the screen on and go for a blast, there is about 25mm (1”) height adjustment.
With the screen mounted in its lowest position it measures 200mm (8”) above the cowl. Dimensions of the screen 380mm (15”) high x 305mm (12”) wide.
The screen is basically designed to take the wind blast of your chest, the feedback I get is that if you’re going 100 km/h it feels more like you’re going 80 km/h, it will knock about 20km/h of wind blast off you.

Cost of the screen is $120.00 AUD (all tints and colours are the same price)
Freight to the UK $40.00 AUD
So all up cost is $160.00 AUD

160.00 Australian Dollar = 93.27854 British Pound

Freight time is approximately 10-15 days from time of posting.

Whilst they are nice, problem is you then need to add on import duty to the final bill. It then starts getting a bit pricey for a bit of bent plastic. Still, not wishing to be mr negativity, here is a cheap diy solution:

I like the fact it just velcros on which means when I want to stick the bike in the van I can just pull it off to fit.

Love it Melch! Those screens look very neat. Have you made one? Got any pics? :thumb

Got a screen sorted finally. A few pics!
