Well, the 1100 obviously appreciated a deep discharge and recharge 
Full ABS availability for rest of the day... unheard of last two winters
Didn't stop me dropping the bloody thing outside home on return, but better a busted indicator than a double - screwed back

Lot of diesel about on the roundabouts in Nottingham yesterday - the knobblies on my XCountry didn't like that & nearly lost the front end twice !
