Heard some interesting (to me anyway) news today.

Apparently Shineray have acquired the rights to the above bikes.

A lot remains to be seen, but good news I think for those with the current bikes as supply of spares will continue :)

Be interesting to see how they actually turn out and are priced. Cheaply hopefully, given that all r&d and setup costs have already been absorbed by husky/BMW.

It would be nice to think so but I expect them to be tat if they are made in China to a cost. Huskies used to be fantastic bikes with top notch build quality.... Pity KTM didn't keep them on as a separate brand range, hopefully they didn't sell the brand too

Ktm have killed Husaberg off after watering them down in to rebranded Ktms. The Husqavana brand is sole ya Ktm with standard link rear suspension to please the Americans. If the brand is revived in the USA I'll bet Ktm will follow with the rear suspension and kill off Husqavana like they've done with the bergs.
What we really need is a Japanese come back to put Ktm back in their cage a little.

The rear linkage system on the Husqvarna range is a KTM one. It's already fitted by KTM to their SX & XC range of bikes. The linkless PDS system still remains on KTM's EXC enduro range. I'm not sure just how long the linkage system would last if it's smashed against a rock in an enduro? ........ The new Husqvarna's are just white KTMs :augie

..................

Is that correct i.e. the older 610 and not the newer BMW/Husky DOHC 630?

Andres, I thought so but I may be wrong. I'll post some pics from the web further down. Bikes were shown at the Milan motorshow last week.

Try a search on Milan bike show and mychinamoto.com for more info.

Some decent pics though of what may be about to come. Bike behind the SM GTR has knobblies on, so guess it's the TE equivalent :D

630 engine looks like the TE630 one. The 300 looks like the pre x-lite ones. Suggestion also that they are fitted with sachs susp, brembo hydraulics and acerbis(?) plastics.

Hasten to add, these are not my pics, just copied from the web.

:blast:blast:blast:blast:blast . . . . yes, will ring you re tbm mags!!!

Collected my 110 Anniversary, 14MY 449 yesterday :D:D:D:D:D:D:D. One of the last, if not the last, to leave the factory I believe as no more were available afterwards. Looks beautiful with its black wheels etc :bow

Bling not arrived yet though, and not registered on road yet so the steed is likely to be the 310 until the New Year.

Copy of some dialogue from the CafeHusky site.

"spoke to the shineray guy again at the eicma... they will sell for 30% less than the husky prices, and they'll focus on europe only for the near future."

". . . but more importantly can we expect the same Husky quality?"

"according to them: same tools, same suppliers, same parts. production in italy (near milan)."

Happy days for longevity. Not sure re depreciation on the current bikes, but can't be any worse than it is at the moment!

Ah well , sod the depreciation, mines a keeper :rob :D

And ta for the piccies, it defo looks like a 630 lump to me. Sounds like prodcution is at the same plant then, just different owners.

Funny that they are only selling in Europe as I throught N America was the main market for the 630, they only seem popular over here in parts of southern Europe?
