2014 Photo Rally

Hi Guy's
Gap of Dunloe
You are right Soji is still around but not on the bike this time. The next best thing is being pulled by a horse up Gap of Dunloe this morning with snow and rain coming down. I would have been warmer if I was on my bike and the Mrs would have fair better.

Did the Ring of Kerry and the weather hold most of the time and the sun came out most of the way. At least some of you have now had a head start.

It was great seeing you all the presentation this year and thanks to Gerry and his crew for a wonderful weekend.

small tip when putting the lat long into google.......

knock off the N and W and put a minus before the longtitude.......

eg

N52 52.5321 W6 12.8735

becomes 52 52.5321 -6 12.8735

putthe first one in - google says wtf :D

for all you non gps types :D

The Photo Rally lat/long cordonates are in degrees minutes & seconds. your example is in degrees & decimal minutes. They are not numerical identical - Google earth uses degrees, minutes & seconds.

Or just put spaces in between the degrees and minutes and seconds like this: N55 34 12.9 W7 34 23.7 That'll work too!

I got 4 done this week. Wexford and Wicklow today and Dublin/Kildare and Louth/Meath on thursday.

Wexford and Wicklow today

Me too ;)
Didn't see you though....

10. Wicklow :

11. Wexford
(I was here last year as well but still took the long way round to get in :blast )

And then I went to Courtown for a Phoker point (after Charles' timely reminder) & a cup of tea before heading home.

Jockser, I did wexford first (1130ish) grabbed a coffee in Lamberts in Camolin and was in Avoca at around 1330. An 'interesting' spin getting the 'Bird up to cross after all the mad weather of late..

Took the John Deere for a trip this afternoon, very interesting location and a nice bit of history behind it

Delayed gratification me Arse!!!!

Finished all photo locations for 2014 @ 1730 hours this date. That's 1935 miles in six days, 29 locations and a hell of a lot of boreens and pints in between. Photo's to follow in the next day or two whenever I get round to unpacking my trustee steed.
