There are many new year thresholds but in the context of "biking" the launch of the Photo Rally list is a watershed of sorts - of course we hope the water ceases to shed in the weeks & months ahead & allows some dry two wheeled exploration off the beaten track.
The website http://irishphotorally.com/ is now fully operational again & contains the 2013 slide show of honour & the prize winners - including some from here abouts.
The 2014 entry list & gpx file is attached (the 3 +U points are for the BMW Ulster club's Ulster Photo Rally - check their website http://www.bmwclubulstersection.com/

The big wheel in the sky turns again - have a great & safe year. :thumb

Thread "stickied" at the top of the section as is now the custom.

There are some very interesting looking locations this year again. :)

Thanks to Gerry, Lorcan & the rest of the crew for the Prizegiving night and also for putting g another Photo Rally together.
Based on yesterdays evidence, and looking at some of the other points, I reckon it's another gud un :bow

A good night was had in the Hodson Bay on Saturday night :

Clare & Damien looking smug cos they both won prizes :clap
And Grumpy's just Grumpy

After a bit of a lie-in on Sunday & a slow breakfast I got out & did 5 points on the (scenic) way home.
Weather was a bit cool but other than catching up with the tail end of one shower it didn't rain on me all day

23 - Roscommon :

7 - Longford / Westmeath :
(recognize anyone ? )

22 - Leitrim :

5 - Cavan / Monaghan :

8 Louth / Meath :

Roll on the better weather so we can get out and do some more :bounce1

Good spin yesterday, roads flooded near Borrisokane, just rode through it and carried on, Oxford heated gloves makes a difference, deadly weekend, dinner was excellent, crack was mighty and Hairnet was missing :nenau

Great start Jockser :thumby:

A great day out. Will nab a few more tomorrow.

You were only a few miles from us and a mug of tae when you were at Heartys ye ballix ye Damien.

I was there about 1130 Aidan, so I thought you would be in work. I will be passing close by tomorrow if you are around. Thanks for the offer.

Snow stops play.

It was pelting down snow when I left Letterkenny this morning. The forecast of the North was bad so I high tailed it straight home. No gritting all the way to Strabane, so slid most of the way there. Roads were gritted after that so no real problem. Rode through a blizzard near Omagh, couldn't keep the visor clear, but at least it wasn't sticking.

The closing date is 9 months away - time to make a baby there - probably no snow in July - delayed gratification man!
