Had a pair of abs type plastic handlebar ends new in box so thought why not make some bungs just drilled & tapped them to 8mm had a length of stainless bar araldited to one end front axle & forks protected for almost nowt 
Also had a spare alloy one which fitted straight into the rear drive protecting that too
