Bought an old 1990 ktm 600 a few years back, it was very tired and had no compression, seized brakes, every nut and bolt was rusted solid.
Have done a ground up resto picking at it every few months, its had full powder coated frame and fittibgs, shock and forks rebuilt, engine has has alot of work, all cosmetic parts are new, the only thing I havent got round to doing is painting the tank to match the shiny new plastic kit.
It really does turn heads, never seen one in the flesh myself, the bike is kick only, left hand side a real monster to boot over, but starts first or second kick everytime now!!
Sadly it was spotted by lical bike thieves so they have hacked hammered and drilled my garage to try and get in for it so had to move it to my not so local unit hence why I havent had chance to finish the last few bits...yet
