Hey everybody,

I just bought a very good looking 1997 R1100GS with ABS and want to make it as good as possible. I've owned 1100 and 1150's before but never modified them.
Here is what I'm thinking of but any feedback, suggestions or remarks are very welcome!

Ohlin front and rear shock, there's a set wunderlich sells.
LeoVince exhaust
Steal brake cables from Spiegler
A Kahedo seat
K&N filters

Not sure yet about the tires

I'm using standard BMW side and top cases

Also, anyone form Belgium who know's a good independent BMW guy to do the engine revision for me ...

Thanks in advance for your input!

Filip

Good choice, mine sounds similar to what your thinking. Wilbers suspension (lowered by 1"), stainless goodridge brake lines, sergeant seats, exhaust is std I've had Remus exhausts on two 1100's in the past and found they run nicer on std exhausts.

Rocket Ron cam sprockets - gives more tourqe lower down and feels like extra hp in the speed range I use the bike as an added bonus I've seen an improvement in fuel consumption and the engine pulls smoothly from low revs in any gear plus the slow speed surging has gone. I had a r100gs PD a few years ago this feels the same as that but on steroids it really improves the bike immensely IMHO.
