Hi All,

Has anybody bought and used different types of bottles/camping/hiking/poundshop/etc for this adapter plate?:-

Or is it that anything with similar dimensions to their water bottles will work (74 x 200mm)?

I liked their transparent ones before they've seemingly replaced them with the plain yellow ones. Does anybody know if that was some other brand, and if so, where can I get those from?

Or, should do you guys recommend a better adapter plate to go for like:-

My initial need was the Universal Adapter Plate option so that I could have that flexibility to switch between water bottles (single big one 1L supermarket type or 2x pre-plain TT ones or for put something else). Would welcome any other better suggestions :)

Cheers,
Lab :)

I've used the last one... used the 1L Nalgene and GSI mug in there as well as the 1L Optimus/MSR fuel bottles without any bother. If you stick to 2x 1L you should be fine, be a bit cramped with bottles any bigger. I've also used it to strap a first aid kit.

2x 1L generic water/fuel bottles.

Cheers Stephen!!! :D

Say, slightly off-topic but can you tell me is that a Touratech pannier rack? Couldn't help but notice you've got 2x 38L panniers? :D

You're welcome :thumb

No, it's the Metal Mule 18mm balanced frames and rack with the slimmer scorpion exhaust. These require the bigger Touratech puck fitting kit to fit the 18mm frames. I prefer this as it's all symmetrical with equal sized panniers, no cut outs etc.
