Controlled decents

And there endeth the lesson................;)

All very true, it's more about 'feel' in real life, than theory..................coupled with what bike you're riding and the surface - feck all resistance on wet grass, to quite a bit on rocks (albeit they do move around a bit:D)

Exactly, like trying to learn how to make love to a woman by asking on here...soooo many variables, hopefully less courses:D

To those that have posted advice, I am grateful and I will take it away with me and see how I get on - whats the worst that can happen: Tim will need to be bring me some grapes?

I find off road riding a little frustrating since having previously being a ski instructor finding oneself having to seek advice on basic skills is rather humbling. With physical skills, text hasn't ever and never will be the best teaching medium as we all know, the stuff thats written here though is enough to give me some stuff to go and play with.

And here is something to have a little smirk at c/w commentry from Ediloby...

Tell me about it, try being a bike instructor learning off road and having a guy constantly shouting "head up" at you.

BTW I can do full lock turns standing without looking up.:D

Nice one! It would have been a lot easier if someone hadn't parked his bike on the best line though...........:D

Nice Twat suit .... :comfort

That divoticulitus plays havoc with pips ....!

Mellors like a good chew .....

What grade of oil is needed to make a controlled descent, I heard that fully sympathetic would help?

One today's controlled descents did go to plan during a trial, several minor injuries and a touch of concussion later ......FFS!
