I have a Wunderlich Media bar bag, and my new nokia smartphone fits nicely in the window, I want to use it as a Sat Nav, but don't want to use up the battery.

What is the best way to run power to the phone?

Should I look to install a aux power socket? Or is there a lead on the market that I can run from the socket on the L/H side of the engine?

Thanks

I added an aux port to each side of the beak on my r1150gs. I use one for powering my montana and the other for running a power supply to inside the handlebar bag, just make up your own lead with a din on one end and a usb outlet on the other.

I tapped two waterproof plugs into the circuit feeding the existing outlet on my 1150GS. I put one up by the bars and one under the seat at the tank end. I can then plug into these a cigarette lighter and tuck it into the tank bag and other kit at the bars
