Anyone done Tajikistan??

Afternoon all,
Looking to do a trip to Tajikistan to ride part of the Pamir highway. Anyone been there and done it?

Some conflicting advice on wether to go there or not based on its proximity to Afghanistan etc. I'd be very interested to hear peoples views or experiences.

Don't just do the Pamir Highway, make sure you take in the Wakhan Corridor along the Afghan border, it's stunning!!!

The Ismali Muslims are the gentlest most hospitable people on the planet ( be careful getting into vodka drinking sessions though - you wont have the stamina to survive the night)! You will love the Pamir and the Wakhan Corridor - just make sure you get all the permits sorted out. If you can get the visa cross over into the Afghan bit - at least to the market over the river!
