Looking at a trip to Israel this year with Tamar Bike Tours as featured in MCN this week and just wondered if anyone had experience of them and indeed traveling in Israel ? Neil

I've been in talks with Tamar to arrange a group trip to is real later this year. they are a thoroughly professional outfit and have had some really good reviews in the motorcycle press.
Adventure Bike Rider ran an article in October 2014 and ADV Moto in January 2015.
I will try and post some links to the article.
I have travelled extensively in Israel on a motorcycle and there are some terrific biking roads and sites to visit. There is something for everyone over there from places of religious and historical interest in Jerusalem to throbbing nightlife in Tel Aviv.

The main problem seems to be getting to Israel overland, the ferries from Cyprus seem to be very unreliable. Is getting in via Arab countries still impossible?

Israel has open borders only with Jordan and Egypt.
as far as I know the ferries/ships from cyprus or greece are fine.
