Photo Rally 2015

Another Photo Rally year rolls around - the culmination of the year being the awards weekend, just over & which I am not fully recovered from yet – another resoundingly successful event.

Thanks to the 225 folk who participated in 2014 & to the additional souls who did many of the photos but were happy to leave it at that & not make a formal entry.

The crew who assist are also due recognition – apart from the high profile assistants (no names necessary) there are others in the background – the most shadowy of all being the judges whose names are known only unto them.

Thanks to those of you who let me know of possible locations - keep up the good work please.

The 2015 locations are attached - I have learned this morning of some minor misspells - nothing of any real consequence. Just sparing the anal folk out there the joy of being the first to let me know!

Those of you new to the Photo Rally will find previous years locations @ http://irishphotorally.com/ - click on the “rally map” tab & all locations since 2003 are there – you can view by year or by county in this section; some things have vanished e.g. the bronze plaque at Lough MacNean but all things vanish eventually.

The 2014 photos & prise winners will be up on that site in the next few days when the unpaid Photo Rally IT staff (another unnamed hero) gets a few hours spare.

youse are absolutely the nuttiest and craziest of people

did daniel craig get his p45 yet :aidan

on the way in on tuesday morning planned to go howth but due to unplanned bwm issues (not mine) that didnt happen

not seen uncle shay for a bit so spin up to leitrim via south dub to give the passportless wan some new bits for another broken bmw

after stopping at leitrim lodge (utter bargain at 18 quid) tried to go and do a lottery point in north leitrim at parkes castle

leitrim quay on the bridge opp the hotel

apparently this was on the way and still had 8k to go to it so gave up aas there might have been more and even the fields were frozen either side

cross country to go and say hello to this eejit and the nice lady

this happened

then headed back to manc for gig

noone nicked it :O

then back friday

met the crazy irishgerman fella again and twiddly to athlone (brr)

rode from the rooskey point back thru the bog and got almost as far as port arlington yesterday and the hands had given up (pain of cold) so headed back to dub (sorry joch)

fog and dark wouldnt be fun so got to dub in daylight so watched meetkats inthe terminal till boat time

A great rally again last year, and also a great night. Many thanks to Gerry and all the team who make this great event happen.

I did two points on the way home, couldn't manage any more due to the weather.

Great weekend, spin up on Friday was a breeze, trip back yesterday was difficult compounded by a bad chest infection, was totally shattered by the time I got to Cork

Big thanks to the guys who organise the rally.
Just got my first badge, a gold one.
A bit of a struggle at times on my K1600GT last year so have changed to a R1200GS!
Hence my appearance on the forum.
Gonna keep my sticker for the panniers on the GS.
Great to see such enthusiasm for the rally. I'm sure I'll meet up with some of you during the year.
