I've found that this SA Adventure Bike Forum (similar to the UKGSer) has a wealth of information and experience available for your use.

The chaps are all seasoned riders and are based throughout the country - a real great bunch of people.......... so for your next trip - whether you will actually visit or just want info - take the time to check it out..... (nice pics too :beerjug:)

I have already spoken to one of the Mods and will be posting a similar thread on theirs promoting this here forum.

I know that this is an old post but will add a couple of things that I hope will help.

http://www.wilddog.za.net is a great source of info.

There is also a youtube channel called "Look What You're Missing" that will give you some ideas on awesome routes in the Western Cape.
