Latest advert on radio from Direct Line states no charges for policy alterations  (£26.50 to change anything @ Churchill btw)

they will have to cover the cost somewhere, so those fees will be amortised across all premiums

someone who stays at the same address and keeps the same vehicle will effectively subsidise the itinerant or indecisive policyholders

direct line

its spot on rang them to change my car £1.06 waived the administration fee
i was ready with my card to pay a large amount because they have you by the rocks if you cancel you pay an administration fee if you change your adddress same again
it was a pleasant surprise thats what keep customers
my mate changed his bike from a bergman to a Vstrom same engine size bit newer £90
i could hear the conversation so i told him to say fine i'll pay the money then contact the insurance ombudsman
the call handler went away two mins later the change over was £30 :thumb

same with the banks if you have a complaint and tell them you are going to the ombudsman even if you are wrong the bank has to pay about £300 worth a punt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
