Who's order XR 1000 S

Just tested the XR (Just to see what all the fuss is about)

If I wasn't a massive fan of the GS this bike would top my list.

I have never ridden a sports bike only ever big adventure bikes so this may count for nothing

Bonkers performance!
I was going 70'ish and not even close to halfway to the red line.
I would soil myself it I tried to get that far up the rev range.
Scary fast and sill loads to go. You can go everywhere in 5th and 6th, even pootle around town in 6th lol
2nd 3rd and 4th gear seem like a waste of time, the thing should have a 7th' 8th and 9th gear.
Way smoother than the KTM 1290 although a very good bike (I've tried that too) sounds like a bag of spanners in comparison, the seat is comfier too
Its tight and nimble and goes where you aim it without a thought.

Way more comfortable and planted than the 1290 with that BMW riding feel to it, like you are part of something and not just sat on something.

A big thumbs up to all that have bought one its a pocket rocket. I can imagine some big grins coming up across the land

Happy riding all of you

the RR had bad vibes through the bars , fixed mine with better grips and heavier bar ends , 18k happy miles later and it was fine

Nice one Terry.:thumb

My HP seat arrived today, and looks fantastic on the bike.

My lowered Sport SE will now arrive in September:D only extra I've ordered is the HP levers as the clutch is a stretch. Dealer is removing the pannier rails. Still not sure about rad guards yet.

You need BANNING, your bike porn is costing me a lot of dosh, called in at the dealers today to order some more bling and I was told a box of HP stuff had arrived, I thinks I've brought the whole fooking catalog I'm surprised how quick the turn around with ordering parts, everything seems to have or either arriving and non of the gs malarkey waiting months for panniers !!

They said oh there's a bike in the back with your name on it, Came early.

Did you notice what tyres were on it ?
Bridgestones or Pirelli ?

I never ! But looking at Nutty's he has different tyres fitted to mine, I'd say he has Bridgstones T30 and mine are Rosso 11 .

It's deffo getting rad guards, I'm going to wrap it in ventureshield, and probably stick a pair of BST carbons on it.

After many weeks of waiting, I'm finally picking my new Sport S.E up in the morning!! :clap

Sorry to see my F800GS go but slightly moist at the prospect of a new bike, good weather & a week off work!! :thumby:
