Be that as it may, but it's better to see it "Disneyfied", than not see it at all. Is it not?
Personally, I didn't get that impression on my visit. We had a very good, very informative (and very pretty
) guide who was with our group for the whole day. That was the best way to see it, IMHO, and it did not come across as over touristy. Granted there's an element of showcasing, but that's to be expected, and does not detract from the overall experience, and sense of overwhelming evil of the place. That and crushing sadness.Whatever your take on it, it has to be seen to truly understand it all, and it must be preserved for all to see in the future.
