Zumo Battery Screw

Call Garmin (UK) they'll probably post you one.

Failing that, find a half decent model shop. They'll maybe have something.

Failing that, gaffer tape is your friend.

Gsrmin (UK) were very helpful when I needed a spare part for my old Nav III.

The metal hasp (that secured the device into its mount) wore due to vibration, rendering it unreliable. They dispatched a fresh hasp out by return post for free.

V8, if tape doesn't work or Garmin can't help...let me know and I will let you borrow the screw from my Zumo 550 for the holiday....I am only in Whipsnade so not too far away.

Just an update. The battery screw is not available from Garmin. I did find a nice stainless screw which'll do the job, and others have said, I'll be able to take the battery off without finding an Allen key. Thanks for your help everyone.

It locked up during an update, wouldn't respond to any buttons etc. I took the battery out to reset, and the screw that I thought was captive dropped on the garage floor. Took everything out, searched with a magnet, still couldn't find it.

Oh, when mine does that I just leave it on overnight, the battery goes flat. I recharge it and the thing tends to sort itself out - or at least it has so far.
