Thought I'd better fess up.. after a whole bunch of miles across an 1150 and 3 x 1200's incl 2 great years on the LC I'm chopping in the GS for a Sport SE in spank me red.

11 days after I'm supposed to pick up my '16 model on the new plate I'll get to stretch it's legs on an 11 day Alps trip. Nothing like a baptism by fire!

expensive bike to own, larger tinted Puig screen, longer rear hugger and fender extender from Nippys, givi top box alu rack, and the weather is too miserable to go out on!Need to put a few more Kms on it before it goes back for un plugging.Pity I cannot fit the Garmin 590 directly onto the BMW Nav V mount. however, no regrets cracking bike.

You should sell the 590 and get a Nav V............ that's what I would do!!

(I might know someone who'd take it off your hands 😁)

Sent using hocus pocus........... boo!

Hello just done 2 years on a gs with no regrets , collecting mine on Saturday and off to Spain on the 12 June so have some miles to do for first service

Unless you've tried it..

I loved my 09 GS - had it over five years - but crikey the XR... I Bought I white one (as they are the fastest) and no regrets!

Got one as a loan bike today. Mother!!!! Barely out on the road and the traction light is blinking at me in rain mode. Gave it a handful in the corner to check the TC works and it does :D This bike makes more sense if you ride it like a hooligan. A few flaws but very entertaining.

Got one a 3 weeks ago, every time I get off it I have a smile like a Cheshire Cat. Its feels as light as a feather compared to my old GS Triple Black, which came with a gravity wave as standard. Now just waiting for the 1st service and the red line to be moved from 7k to 11K, not sure whether to fit the red hooligan mode plug. The quick shift is sublime compared to the old GS, gone is the Bedford Clunk in the lower gear.

Got mine in Feb & I'm still grinning

Nice Photo Jockser, I see that you caught a rainbow too, where is that road?

Looks like the Gap of Dungloe near Killarney, Co Kerry

Exactly that :thumb
It was back in March & it started to push down almost as soon as I turned off the main road. But it stopped 5 minutes later & turned into a lovely afternoon.

Batman1 - we've loads of 'main' roads like that :aidan

Later that evening going over Priest's Leap, near Glengarriff, Co Cork :
