At moment travelling from Ireland to alps , well it's not all rosy , ok bike 1100rt 97 with 60 k ml , today heading from dusseldorf to dachau 400ml spin, rear drive start to run very hot, weather around 34℃ God hot, anyways I couldt care less how hot bevel is but it start using oil not much , bike was rebuild 2000ml back New bearing and seal.
So question wot story .... oil to hot? It's looks like milk ! Or rust on drive should I drive seal bit further ?
Dam why can't be just enjoyment without hustle ...

If it looks like milk, the oil has a become contaminated with little water so change it a couple of times.
Yes you could try driving the seal in a little further if it's not already damaged by rust.

It was some rain last Thursday , not sure how water got in .... try drive seal in see what happens, if see big stack smoke in around stelvio pass you know it didn't work

Check the breather isn't blocked as that would cause condensation and possibly leaks.

Will do mate , it's great that actually talk to some one , bike forums rocks !

Yeah ment to do years back but putting off , defiantly when back subscribe for porn

Small update .... change oil twice and knock seal about 1.5mm further in , so far so good, last 2 days so hot tyres melting

I'm just back from Italy via Switzerland, S Germany, Belgium etc. It was scorching hot all the way (heading north, back of my legs were burning!) Until I got to the Ardennes when I hit winter. Enough rain for a month! If any seals were going to let water in, it was then. Reading your post I'm now going to check my FD oil! If you experienced the same rain then I sympathise!

Sounds like you might have found the cause though.
