I'm full of the joys of winter. Back in the land of GS having picked my lovely 2012 Triple Black 800 on Saturday. I love it. Did I mention I love it?
Owned a 1200GSA around 6 years ago, loved it too, had to sell due to finances - still miss that bike
Then went Honda and got a very old, cheap, rather snotty Pan European for commuting (much better than you think), then most recently a beautiful red VFR800.
Thing was I wasn't riding it as much. It's a great bike, fast, exotic engine but where I live now is bumpy B-roads, tractors and cow s**t on the roads. I knew it was time to return to the fold and an 800 GS fitted the bill. Wasn't expecting to like it after a 1200 but I'm actually preferring it. The 12 crosses continents but the 8, well, I need to cross Leicestershire most days and it's perfect for that.
Slathered it in ACF-50 yesterday after a wash and polish. Stormed into work this morning, carving through clods of mud and puddles with abandon. So glad I washed it...
