    The rally concept pic

The picture is based on a kit developed by an inmate on advrider for the 690 enduro. He's taken the KTM 450RR front fairings and tanks and optionally the rear tank, a bunch of custom made parts and fitted them to the 690 enduro. The frame of the 701 enduro is different so there would be a few changes to the kit, but it's already available for the 690. There's 2 versions priced at €4500 and €5500.

I think it's a great idea as the 450RR parts are readily available.

Re the weight thing I'll have to try and find where I read that but I'm pretty sure they talked about it being 20 odd kg heavier than the KTM?

    That'll be the 2017 bikes then !!

    I bought a 6 week old 701SM last week

    Love it,totally barking.

Then read in Bike mag that the 2017 models have the newer 690 engine as you describe above and supposedly putting out 74bhp.

Husqvarna have 3 in stock so I've part exd mine and should have it in 3 weeks :

I just got the email from Nomad about their 701 kit. Thought I'd share as the description of the Euro 4 compliance issues is interesting.

€419 for the tower. Can't imagine what Touratech would charge for that.
