GoPro HD Hero

A bit of info required if I may.
I have an original HD Hero and want to send the movies I take to icloud but cannot fathom it out (laptop window 8). I have installed iCloud on the laptop but can't send them and my email client will not allow file that large...

I am thinking of upgrading to a Hero 3+ or a 4 as I believe that I will be able to send the movies via wifi direct to my iPad. Is this the case or am I delirious?

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Can you put your videos onto iTunes?
Then upload to iCloud from that.
