Just to say thanks (and im sure I speak for everyone here) for the considerable effort put in by Lorcan, yourself and the rest of the team for organising "yet again" another very successful Photorally Gerry.

There have been 239 Photo Rally entrants for 2016; 243 entered in 2015.
The presentation night is on Sat Feb 4th 2016 & is again in the Hodson bay hotel – which is still idyllically situated on the Lough Ree shoreline – 5 minutes north of Athlone; off the Roscommon road.
Saturday Night B&B including the Banquet Dinner is €95 per person sharing in twin or double room or €115 for a single room.
The hotel has a very limited supply of rooms on the Friday night 3rd February at €55 B/B PPS.
For non residents dinner is €37 a plate; as in previous years it will be a seriously good meal & an occasion to remember.
Non residents must contact the hotel to pre book and pre pay for dinner.
Rooms in the Hodson itself are limited & are on a first come first served basis; you may book now by e mailing reservations@hodsonbayhotel.com or by phoning 09064 42000 – quoting Photo Rally – don’t delay!
The Hodson Bay Hotel still enjoys superb views over Lough Ree and the surrounding countryside. The picturesque setting is complemented by the exceptional hotel facilities, the dedicated service & a warm, welcoming atmosphere - renowned for providing fine dining with a difference.
The Hodson Bay has a well equipped gym, steam room & sauna plus a 20 meter swimming pool with hydrotherapy features, a raised hydro-pool & children’s pool. The Spa combines a thermal suite, exclusive treatments & a relaxation room with stunning views – a haven of calm & pampering. To truly avail of & luxuriate in the experience you should really consider the Fri night also – there’s whiskey tasting among other things available that night.
The judges are apparently hard at work over the holiday season; Shane Ross is making judicial waves but we are confident that their deliberations will be available on Feb 4th. The Photo Rally list for 2017 will be published after the 2016 awards ceremony – it would be great to see you there!

I will still be about but as a “below deck” crew member.

As it is only ten days or so until the Photo Rally presentation evening and the unveiling of the 2017 list of locations this thread is now "unstickied".
