Picked this little fella up a couple of weeks ago....
Cut my teeth on one of those (an earlier model) back in '63
Passed my test two weeks after I was sixteen years of age, on my dad's Mobylette, and then could ride anything
THE super bike of the day was the Vincent HRD but at over £350 who could afford one of those
Good one Denny .... but not an ideal 'bike for the streets of Istanbul eh
Indeed not the best thing to be riding on the mean streets of Istanbul! Today was the first time I got to ride it properly...25kms from parents place to mine...spent more time looking in the mirrors than I did in front of me
I bought it to use at our place in Ayvalik (about 1.5hrs north of Izmir) as a run around, but it's such a hoot to ride I might keep it here instead! It doesn't cope too well with my svelte 95kg on steep hills, luckily it has back up booster pedals though
