    CB500X Rally Raid

I had a quick spin on a CB500x yesterday and to say I was impressed was an understatement but then I came across Rally Raid and their full adventure kit at £2200 I may just be tempted

Very underrated bike you can pick a good one up for around £3000 add £2200 for the full package wheels, mudguard, top yoke, full suspension etc and it's a lot of bike for less than £5500

Yeah but if you say you're going to use it off-road, all the old lags on here will laugh at you...

I have full RR kit on my CB500X and makes a great bike- I might know of a 2013 bike for sale for £2500 (has 23k but full Honda service history including 24k service done) if anyone interested?

Only just finished building so not yet. If I was going round the world tomorrow (unlikely!) this is the bike I would take, but for green lanes I will stick with the DR

I've taken a demo one off road....

It's not like my EXC but it is like my R80 special although if it got tricky I'd prefer to be in my R80...

I'm sure it could deliver, off road, well beyond my capabilities but I'd say it's more of a bike to enjoy getting from A to B on when the route requires a breadth of capability and is been ridden with completing the journey in mind
    Sell my bike?
I would rather stick wasps up my arse !

I think your right on the value for money. With bikes now hitting the £15,000 mark I for one would prefer a few bikes sat in the garage not losing money and have a choice depending on my mood.

Fixed .And my point exactly . One of the reasons I bought the MT-10. It'll be fully Tracer-ised including Akra, comfort seat, heated grips, cruise , quick shifter , screen and panniers for a smudge over £10k ( VAT free). And put out 35 more bhp than a big Beemer and weigh MUCH less.

A new GSA will set you back nearly double that once you add luggage etc. It certainly ain't twice the bike even if the average owner is twice the size !!

But a CB500X will do most of what you want for half again !!

I like the look of that, can you shed any weight off it?

Replacing the standard silencer with an Akro helps. Rally Raid kit only adds weight.

Due to change of plans I am selling my bike now - 2014 black, 7000 miles; standard with few additions including nearly new Pilot Road 4 tyres - will be in for sale section for around £3000 when I get time to take some photos.
