What a great day to ride up to Lake,Vyrnwy.
The pass over to Bala was stunning,no traffic and views to die for.
Only phone pic,s I'm afraid, doesn't do the colour of the heather justice.

Apologies, shouldn't try to spell Welsh names after a beer:blast

Went there a few weeks back, great day out and stunning scenery and riding. Strawberry cheesecake and cream at the Old Barn Cafe.
Bliss :)

All the times I've been have never seen water flowing over the dam. Glad you had a good day.

A truly beautiful area, allow plenty of time to take it all in.
Wish I had a decent camera with me.

Alway be sure to take in the the a4212. Look at that corner around the tip of the lake.

It is indeed stunning. I've had a couple of days out there from Lincoln. I keep talking abut going back with the wife and staying over at the hotel there. I must get round to it some time.

Been there a few times.

Brilliant spot and roads.

A nice route to lake Vyrnwy is up through Dinas Mawddyw. Spectacular views from the junction at the top.:D

You do realise that this map shows Llyn Tryweryn (also known as Llyn Celyn) and a bit of Llyn Tegid (or Llyn Bala) not Llyn Fyrnwy (or more correctly Llyn Efyrnwy)? I must say all three lakes have good roads around them. And I agree about that hairpin at the end of the Tryweryn, the bugger just keeps on turning!

Enjoy! :beerjug:
