Are you an off-road Noob in Berkshire / Surrey?

If so, and if you're interested in getting a little off-road experience, then now is a particularly good time to do so..

I've just ridden a few of the green lanes in the Crowthorne / Wokingham area and they're pretty much bone dry and super-easy.

When they get wet, they are a different prospect altogether, but right now if you want to just dip a toe into taking your bike off-road, the conditions are exceptionally learner-friendly. There's a little bit of sand in places to watch out for - otherwise they're as easy as they look on the pics.

It's a particularly pretty bit of forestry, too.

It's unusual for them to be so dry, so maybe now's the time to go and build some confidence.
