I was looking at a 2010 R1200GSA TU today. It has less than 2000 miles on the clock but is at the far end of top book.

What is the reliability, lastability etc like on these 2010 bikes.

I know the early bikes are a bit problematic with their ABs and what not. Is there anything worth looking out for, points of concern that have developed with this generation of the GSs?

Cheers.

Tommy

Fuel strip problems on the 2010 model is the only thing I had with mine
Changed to a float 2012 I think
Otherwise not much
Great bikes

Cracking bikes and with only 2k on the clock you shouldn't have anything to worry about for quite a while. Only issues are rear shocks can go under 20k (rare) and you are looking at about £150 for a rebuild and if you are very unlucky....a final drive rebuild under 30k for about £400. Otherwise, pretty bullet proof.

Only thing is service history....very little mileage shouldn't have an adverse effect but fluids should still have been changed including break and FD.
