Nav 5 Cradle on other bikes

Hello all. I would like to make use of my BMW Nav 5 from the GS on my other bike. A URAL!!!

If I buy a used item from the site, they come with wires and connectors for BMW canvas system. Is it simply a matter of cutting the connections off and wiring up? Can they be fitted to other bikes?

Yes, they can - just buy a Zumo 660 mount.

Yep - easy to do.

I would go for the Nav4/Nav5 mount with the extra buttons - makes using it on the go much easier

You might check out fhammond's excellent post (Jan 2014) on Adventure Rider forum. Search: "Installing BMW Navigator V on KTM 1190". I used this information to mount my V on another bike. He also provides the BMW part number for the pigtail you will need which from memory cost me about a fiver from BMW. Good value, as NN is looking three times that for the same thing.

Won a Zumo 660 mount this evening.

As long as it works I will be happy with that.
