It was around minus four deg C as we set off under a perfect blue sky, this of course meant very icy back roads and frozen trails ..... not to mention cold water 
Riding in great company far excels blasting around the countryside with a bunch of enduro wannabes
Even the locals were friendly!
There were a few 'incidents' on the icy roads and trails, luckily all at low speed.
Not a breath of wind, perfect
Ange a moment on the ice which required me straightening her steering up
The pace was erm 'relaxed' with plenty of down time, both Windy and I were not going to rush the girls
And then there was the ford.
So slippy, it was almost impossible to walk across and freezing cold.
