Hi guys im putting all the internals back in my gsa tank today, do you guys put fuel in before you mount the tank to check for leaks?? Im concerned il mount it fill it then if it leaks il have to pull the tank again, and if i have started it wont be good on the hot engine...

Had no problems when I replaced the fuel filter on mine with sealing. Just do a precautionary clean on the mating faces and it should be fine...I seem to recall there is a gasket between the mounting plate and tank. Obviously if thats deteriorated then replace it to be sure.

Ok cool, yes its a rubber seal so new one going on....

The studs on the cover plate aren't the strongest and the threads can strip if you overtighten them. Just tighten them gently in a crosshead pattern !!!
