Scrapyard dog or Phoenix from the fire?

My decision was made on the finish I wanted on the bike so I needed to mask the engine prior to having the crankcase powder coated in gloss black,
No going back:D

Looking at the BMW bikes website, 6057575 is out of a May 1983 R80ST.
 
New big end shells and bolts,conrods on,

Edit just checked,I recon the arm and shaft were commissioned mid march:confused:
