This connector comes as a part of the GIVI S111 Kit, I am not willing to spend best part of £70 on a power supply for my tank bag (yes I squeak as I walk :D).So I am looking at putting one together with the bits I can source myself, but I can not find this connector. It is a through power connector that is in two parts and screws together from either side of the tank bag.

And second part of the givi kit which cost £20 to buy. What for??? The cost to make one probably less than a ¼ of what givi asking for it.

Try searching Amazon / eBay for what's called an 'aviation connector'. Does the same job. A friend of mine is making up his own power supply to his top box and has sourced all the necessary bits. I'll try and get a picture of one

They are ok but a little bit on a big side for my small 4L tank bag. I can get all the other components to for the project but not this specific or near identical connector.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Kind regards

I guess it is one way of doing it. Silicone in to the cable gland and tighten gland onto the bag.

Looks like a waterproof cable feedthrough
Take your pick

Edit

Sorry sorry, duff info :blast

Just had a look at a close up picture so it is a bulkhead type connector of some sort. Still looking

I would have thought that the bulkhead cable gland thread size M20 would work.

If you fed the power cable through the rubber insert first, then assemble to the nylon body. You could make a large rubber washer out of an inner tube or similar to seal against the outside and inside face of the bag to tighten the assembly up to.

£1.35 for 2 at screwfix. Got to be worth a try.

have you tried Maplins electrical stores they might have summat similar

I already looked in to these and it is at the moment seem to be most logical way to go about with some modifications.

Maplins do some of the components I will need but nothing remotely similar to the component as per original post.

Top tip; run it through a grommit in the base of your tank bag, make the connection inside, less water ingress.

In the trade they are called pvc stuffing glands, maplins have them and any electrical trade counter, I have used these on both my sw motech bags, the maplins ones have a nice long thread so work well with the bags, but you want m20 with the large rubber compression ring for small flexes.
