Time to swap my old 660 for a newer one. Only issue I had with it was screen brightness. OK in car but almost impossible to see in bright light. My question is any of the new Garmin units better from that point of view. Not really to bothered about music, phone etc. Nice if I can hardwire to my autocom rather than buying a BT unit, more expense, and be able to see it when sun behind me.

Why not make one of these...bit of black plastic, some self adhesive Velcro.....sorted.

Got one and have tried a couple of others but no real improvement.
